SLOT ATTENDANT/RELIEF SUPERVISOR | $19hr + tips
JOB SUMMARY
The Slot Floor Attendant is responsible for enhancing the gaming entertainment experience, maintaining high standards of the operation in quality and service and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit.
The Slot Lead/Relief Shift Supervisor manages the operation on assigned shift to ensure compliance, safety and satisfaction.
All employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner which demonstrates friendliness, initiative, professionalism, personal awareness and integrity while exercising confidentiality in the appropriate areas of their performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Slot Attendant
- Promote positive guest relations by projecting a courteous, helpful attitude and assisting guests throughout their visit
- Take guest beverage orders, place order through bartender and deliver to guests in a timely manner while ensuring quality and consistency
- Sell change/break bills for slot players
- Quickly respond to all jackpots for payment in assigned section and enthusiastically congratulate guests on their wins
- Clear slot machines of glassware, empty ashtrays, move ashtrays to proper spot on machine and push in chairs regularly
- Maintain working knowledge of slot games, beverage menus, company offerings and promotions to inform guests and answer questions
- Promote features of the players club and assist in slot promotions
- Assist guests with variety of inquiries and situations including information about the property and events, giving directions and escorting them as necessary
- Assist with checking identification of guests to ensure that only those 21 years of age and older are allowed in gaming areas
- Assume total responsibility for assigned section including cleanliness and organization
- Perform assigned opening duties to stock station with proper supplies and shift change side work to ensure a clean and safe station
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service
- Regularly provide information to property management regarding guest comments or issues that may arise and any safety/appearance concerns throughout the casino to ensure a quality and safe environment
- Show willingness and effort to work as a team
- Perform other duties as assigned
Relief Shift Supervisor
- Maintain complete knowledge of gaming rules and regulations to ensure compliance
- Adhere to and enforce compliance with company policies and procedures
- Oversee player tracking and all jackpot payments during shift to ensure compliance with policy/procedures and gaming regulations in regard to slot payouts/jackpots; including verifying that all guest information is accurate and up to date
- Accurately complete required slot payout paperwork, such as W-9's and W-2G's
- Maintain slot machine knowledge including ability to troubleshoot repairs
- Perform slot machine drops and ATM drops/fills
- Manage break schedules and early outs on shift according to volume on the slot floor; cover wherever needed
- Lead by example and ensure that all employees are walking the floor regularly, cleaning their assigned section and providing prompt guest service
- Monitor and observe property for disturbances, crimes, fire hazards and undesirable persons
- Investigate all incidents on premises; prepare detailed reports in a clear, precise and timely manner
- Assist with planning and directing of staff scheduling, training and development
- Adhere to, enforce and practice all relevant laws, policies, and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 21
- Casino experience required
- Must possess basic computer skills for efficient use of programs and applications
- Ability to quickly and accurately calculate basic subtraction and addition
- Excellent people skills and ability to courteously and efficiently interact with fellow employees, management and guests to ensure a positive experience
- Must pay attention to detail including cleanliness and safety
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English and listen attentively
- Must follow and enforce verbal and written directions, policies, and procedures
- Ability to lift, handle and carry (e.g. trays and equipment) a minimum of 25 pounds on a frequent basis and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, stand, walk and exert well-paced mobility during entire shift
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
CERTIFICATES/LICENSES
Must be able to obtain/maintain the following:
- Alcohol Awareness Training (employee cost = approximately $20; renewed every 4 years)
- Nevada Gaming Control Board license (employee cost = approximately $130; renewed every 5 years)
