MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
JOB SUMMARY
The Engineer is responsible for performing skilled maintenance, repairs and preventative work on building, systems and equipment. This role supports the operational integrity of the facility while contributing to a positive guest experience and dependable team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance of facility and systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime and maintain guest satisfaction
- Performs all surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, etc.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency calls with professionalism and urgency
- Prioritize and complete work orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain clear, organized logs and documentation of maintenance activities
- Ensure all work is performed according to safety standards, building codes and policies
- Assist and coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed to support major repairs or installations
- Maintain maintenance inventory and submit purchase requisitions for parts/supplies adhering to the budget and policies/procedures
- Maintain tools, supplies, and work areas in a safe and orderly condition
- Promote positive guest relations by projecting a courteous, helpful attitude
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 21
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance within an industrial or commercial setting
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprints
- Ability to perform advanced level maintenance related tasks including carpentry, electrical, emergency/security systems, HVAC, kitchen equipment and plumbing
- Ability to use hand and power tools as all trades require
- Ability to use ladders and lifts safely around guests and equipment
- Ability to be self-motivated; must stay on top of all assignments and take ownership of projects to ensure that they are completed in a timely manner
- Must display original thinking and sound judgement to meet challenges with resourcefulness
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to communicate effectively and listen attentively
- Must display a positive attitude and commitment to guest service and teamwork
- Ability to demonstrate basic computer skills
- Knowledge of safety and OSHA requirements as they apply to the facility
- Demonstrated commitment to quality workmanship and safety, including following all safety rules, practicing safe work habits, utilizing appropriate safety equipment and reporting unsafe conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel and work in confined or elevated spaces
- Must be able to regularly lift/carry up to 50lbs and occasionally push/pull/move 100+ lbs
- Must be comfortable working in a dynamic casino environment
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
